Assist Access / Maintain Employment
At Maya Disability and Community Service, we believe that meaningful employment plays a vital role in building confidence, independence, and social inclusion. Our Assist Access/Maintain Employment service is designed to support participants in achieving their employment goals and overcoming barriers that may impact their ability to find or keep a job. We work closely with individuals to understand their strengths, interests, and career aspirations.
Our dedicated support team assists participants throughout their employment journey, from preparing for work to maintaining long-term employment. This may include resume development, interview preparation, workplace communication skills, and support with job applications. We aim to equip participants with the tools and confidence needed to succeed in today's workforce.
Once employment is secured, we continue providing ongoing support to help participants adapt to workplace expectations and responsibilities. We can assist with building workplace relationships, developing professional skills, managing work-related challenges, and fostering independence within the work environment. Our person-centred approach ensures that support is tailored to each participant's unique circumstances and goals.
Through collaboration with employers, families, and support networks, we create opportunities that promote sustainable employment and career growth. Our goal is to empower participants to become active contributors to their communities while enjoying the personal, social, and financial benefits that meaningful employment can provide.
